Indian heirtage is hard to find.
I did once recieve some Indian census records from the Bureau of Indian affairs in Washington DC. They were inter library loans.
I imagine things have come a long way since then and records are much more available. It's the records of the tribes we will never find. That all went when the people of the plains were driven to reservations.
Since grandparents and great grandparents tried to distance themselves from Indian heirtage we may never find them. But we can attempt it.
