Harry B. STONE and Charles ANWAY went to Lansing, MI from Hopkins, Allegan County, MI to enlist in Troop B, U.S. 7th Cavalry on April 29th 1890.Their enlistment papers are signed by Captain H. J. Nowlan. Harry is buried in grave 18 at the Pine Ridge Agency Post Cemetery having died of his wounds at Wounded Knee on 11 January 1891.Charles ANWAY survived and was furloughed from Ft. Riley, KS to Chicago, on November 1892, and died there December 25, 1892 and was buried at Ft. Sheridan north of Chicago.
