Eli S. Ricker wrote a book, "The Wounded Knee Interviews of Eli S. Ricker." He INTERVIEWED, firsthand, the participants in the battle. Best source available.
Check his list of Indian dead; I reprinted it in another post. Are you related to any of them? Or to any of the soldiers that fought there? This is, afterall, a website for those interested in genealogy. Hence the "Genforum".
