We are having renovations to out back room, and behind the baseboard, the carpenter found a business card "Wotherspoon's Fine China and Furnishings, 2057 South Street, Philadelphia. I have found that this business existed on the City Directories from 1878 to 1890 at this address, and then moved to 2123 South Street in 1891. According to an oldtimer, Mr. Ingersol, who was an original owner, our houses were built in 1885. My family moved to our present house in 1916, December. It's a real touch with the past. Five generations of our family have lived at our present address on 26th St.
