Hi - just started family research, so some of these links might be a bit tentative, but I think I can confirm them with a bit more effort.
I've also stopped at William & Janet Keir or Kerr. As well as Robert, they have another son William b1817, died 16/7/1861 (Robert signs death certificate). If the parents names aren't replicated, then there are two other sons - Alexander (b. 1823, d1870) and Henry (no details as yet, but signs Alexander's death certificate)
Now this is where I'm a bit unsure - I've got another record that shows William the son also marrying a Janet Kerr (father James, mother Jane Gray)in 1842. Their children are Jane (b 1847, d1875), William (b1848, d?)and possibly Donald Kerr (who signs Janet's death certificate in 1892.

Any confirmation of these links would be welcome. Most, if not all, are from the Baillieston area of Old Monklands West district in Lanark.
