Hi--I'm not in your WORTMAN Family directly--however--I am a WORTMAN/WORKMAN DESCENDANT. Your PETER & MARY EMBLER do show up in my line! I show his FATHER to be Heinrich Burchard G. Wortman (who was an EARLY LUTHERAN MINISTER). He was born ca 1720-1725 in Hamburg, Germany and was the IMMIGRANT in our line. He came to America thru PHILADELPHIA on the QUEEN of DENMARK in 1752. I would like to talk w/you more about the WORTMAN/WORKMAN LINES. Do you live in NC?
