Hi I see your grandfather is Robert William Wortman.
We might be on to something, my GGgrandfather was William Wortman born 13- Feb. 1831 (Warren) Ohio, with ties to New York. His father I believe to be Robert Wortman, this comes from letters written to and from my Ggrandfather Timothy Wortman to one Warren Thomas Atty. in Warren Ohio concerning the will of Robert Wortman. My Timothy has to be from a second marriage here in California, as I have two diaries describing the trip that William Wortman and his son Joseph took from Ohio to New York down to Panama and up to San Francisco.
