THOMAS WORTHY - ELIZABETH KEELING

A (transcription of a) Keeling family letter says that Leonard Keeling of Halifax Co. VA
had two sets of children, among them Bruce, Littleton, William, Leonard [born VA 1770],
and a daughter Sallie who married a Worthy [or possibly Worley]. William and Leonard
moved to Putnam Co. GA where they farmed and taugh school. William died in 1813,
Leonard having already moved to Elbert Co. [He is mentioned in many legal records of
that period and had married the daughter of Moses Haynes of Elbert]. Thomas Worthy
was bonded as temporary administrator on Jan. 22, 1813 and Letters of Administration for
the estate of William were issued to Thomas Worthy and Leonard Keeling on March 1,
1813 in Putnam Co.
Is there a connection between Thomas Worthy and the husband of Sallie? Is Sally a
nickname for Elizabeth, who has been discussed in this Forum?
