Thomas Worthy /Elizabeth Keeling
The more I surf, the more questions come to mind on this line.
Per Alfred Newton Worthy's biography, his father was Thomas and his Grandfather a Virginian named John. Alfred states he was born in Jasper Co, in 1818. And his mother was Mary Crowell.

And the only Worthy marriage I found in Jasper County, happens to be Leonard Worthy to Mary McDowell on May 8, 1820.

As Alfred was born in 1818, the remaining children (two girls) are born c1821 and 1825.

This is the year that my Thomas' seems to appear in Columbia County and obtain's land. Thomas Sr. gets land in 1805 and Jr. in 1807. Could Thomas Jr. be a Thomas Leonard Worthy, son of Thomas and Elizabeth. Could Martha have been a Newton? As there is a Thomas Newton and Alfred Newton born in GA in the early 1800's perhaps this is possible too?

So, I would appreciate any feedback from those researching the Gwinnett Co and Jasper Co, Worthys as well as Thomas and Elizabeth Keeling Worthy.
