You may already have this census, but here it is: 1841 England Census - Civil Parish: Leek, Hundred: North Totmonslow, County/Island: Staffordshire, Registration district: Leek James Worthington - 50 - born Staffordshire, England Sarah Worthington - 47 - born " John Worthington - 25 - born " James Worthington - 20 - born " William Worthington - 15 - born " Joseph Worthington - 12 - born " Thos Worthington - 10 - born " Richard Worthington - 5 - born " Note that in the 1851 census, same family, sons Thomas and Richard are "silk twisters" which certainly suggests that the man you found in New Jersey censuses 1860-1880 is the same person. Since there was only daughter Sarah J. in this family in 1880 (when mother Margaret/Mary was already age 50), you must be descended from Sarah J. Worthington. If you know Sarah's location in the 1900 census, you might look there as well as in Passiac Co., New Jersey, for obituaries, tombstones and other records on Richard Worthington and wife. If Richard Worthington did live until the 1900 census, he might have moved from New Jersey for economic reasons, since in 1880 he had only been employed for 3 months of the year.
