Rachell, I had found a site at one time for a co-worker that I think specialized in genealogy of slave descendants; have you found anything like that?

I'm afraid I haven't got but a few pages further in the book and is looking like my weekend is going to be more scheduled than I had intended. However, there is a Wm Taliaferro & Mary Ann Duke Wortham family listed; they had a son Wm: "In 1836 William Taliaferro was a soldier in the Indian Creek war in Florida. Son William had two land lottery ticket draws in Wilks County Georgia". Son Wm was b. 1842-44. Seems like so far Miss info is really lacking. I'll keep you posted. S
