Francis Worth -a Quaker in the Revolutionary War??

Am seeking more information about Francis Worth, born in Nantucket, Mass 1735. Wed Mary Gardner in Nantucket in 1756. They had children - Phoebe, Mary, Ann, and William. Supposedly moved to Guilford County, North Carolina in 1772, just prior to Rev. War. They supposedly joined the Friends meeting house in New Garden, North Carolina. I am wanting information about the family's life in North Carolina.
Since Francis was supposedly a Quaker - why did he take up arms to fight in the War which he received a pension for? Was he dismissed from the Quaker faith for his actions in the War? His daughter, Phoebe, weds Silas Penix Wooten and she is mentioned in Francis's will as Wooten. Was Wooten a Quaker or did she marry outside her faith. Evidently Silas Penix Wooten also fought in the Rev. War battle of Guilford Courthouse, the same as Francis.
As you can see I have many questions about this family, their faith and the War. I hope someone has information about this family in North Carolina. I have plenty of information about their Nantucket activities so I don't need that. I hope to hear from somebody soon. By the way, I think this family is fascinating!
