I would post this on the WARTH board but the e mail address is no longer valid.

Aubrey:

I have to reply to your reply to Peg, because too much mis info is making the rounds and being accepted by those who don't do their own research.

My husband is also a descendant of Robert Warth & Hannah Harrison. The children you've listed in your reply to Peg are considered to be in error by most of us who have researched the family for years. I for one have worked on this line for over 25 years and hesitate to accept information with no basis for authenticity. So far I have asked repeatedly for someone to offer some sources for this information and my pleas have gone unanswered.

It is generally known that Robert and Hannah had three children:

John Warth who m Margaret Fry/Frey/Frye and removed to Washington Co PA and then to KY
George Warth who m Hannah Berry and removed to Washington Co OH and then Meigs Co OH
Ann/Hannah Warth who married Samuel Vance and remained in VA (as far as we know)

Hannah Harrison may have been born in VA but her father, George was born in Burlington Co NJ and her grandfather, Richard was born in England (died in NJ). Robert and Hannah's children were not born in England.

From PIONEERS OF OLD FREDERICK COUNTY VIRGINIA; Cecil Odell 1995:

"WARTH
Robert Warth/Dwarfe purchased 300 acres from Jost Hite (part of Hite's 2168-acre patent land of 1734) for seven pounds, 10 shillings on 25 March 1736/7. (Tract 7A, Map 10). He also bought 150 acres adjacent north of the 300 acre tract from George Harrison for five pounds on 25 May 1743. (Tract 7B-1, Map 10) Both tracts are on Meadow Brook (Long Meadow in 1737) with US Highway 11 crossing the center and Interstate Highway 81 on the east section......"

I'm not sure WHERE the Robert and Thomas that you list came from.

You may contact me by e mail.

Judy Warth
