Well this is true shes gone. But, pin pointing on who prognated the Workman name is a guessing game. I mean we see a Anthony Workman in the Book "Maryland Early Settlers 1633-1680" He was Transported in 1668 as a WORKMAN. (13,fol.112;17,fol.548. No Woertman there or the spelling was in the Calander of Wills: WOORTMAN,DIRCK,627 and on the next page we see a WORKMAN MARGARET,461 refrence number. And to put a prospective on how many Dutch were in New Neatherlands (New York in 1775, 75,000 claimed Dutch Reform Church. So its a gussing game unless you were there watching the misspelling of Woertman or Woortman, Werkman, McWorkman its a crap shoot. My line? venturing past William P Workman well not proven. And I am not sure my line goes to William P Workman. We also see George Workman in 1762 a Chain Carrier in the Granville District of North Carolina. Then we see a Ludwig Workman in the New Goshenhoppen Reformed Church 1731-1832 he married Catharina Braun. Andreas Workman m Catharina Frey.So to say Abraham is the spear head of the Workman clans well a crap shoot. In the book Harold Lancour's Biblography of ships Passenger List 1538-1825 lots of Wortman/Wortmann note the extra n. Oh then you have a Workeman, Anthony, VA 1668 in the Passenger and List Index VA. Then in the book "New World Immigrants Volume 1 Dirck Janse Woertman, 40 Dutch Oath of Allegiance 1687 he was 40. Nothing certian only death and tax's bud!
Scherrie Workman,Hughes,Baxter,Severns,Andrews, U.S.Grant, McAdoo,Bilyeu (John Witten) part of the 700 in Christian County MO.,Hailey,Thompson,Burkhart,Anderson,Gray,Adams,Applegate,Justice
Clickingbeard, Loomis,Truax. Hall, Hull,Parker,Minor, Sweargin. Oh and I forgot America Wills Workman 2 cousin to my Richard. The Cali Workman as they say in the Ozarks.
