I'm also looking for further information on gggrandad William H.E. Morris, my ggrandad, Tony E. Morris, his family and their origin to Illinois. My grandad was Junior Clifford Morris(1/3/1902-9/28/1974)to the parents of ggrandad Tony E.Morris (08/09/1877-09/28/1909) and Pearl F.(Shankle) Morris (01/06/1880-09/15/1966). Their children were Junior, Truman and Helen.
My ggrandmother Pearl was born to the parents of Joseph D. Shankle (04/12/1857-09/14/1930)and Nancy Alice (Workman)Shankle (03/25/1861-3/20/1951). Tony and Pearl were married in Ferris(01/03/1899). Colusa was the hometown of Tony where he is buried at Pontoosuc Cemetery, according to the old newspaper clippings I have.
My grandad Jr. C. Morris married Luetta Pearl(Perkins?)Riley and their children were William and Mary. My grandmother Luetta was 3 yrs. old when her mother(unknown)died giving birth to twins. Luetta was taken in by Roy and Maggie Lincoln for 2yrs until adopted by John F. and Alice Riley in Illinois where she lived til' my grandparents were married in Macomb or Carthage then moved to Colorado about 1930's.
Any information would be helpful. I have old photographs of my relatives (Morris, Shankle, Emmert, Riley, Noel, Potter, Sheilds, Workman, McGuire, Exon, Saltiel etc. families) posted on my site, although still under construction, feel free to view and comment. Most of these photographs were taken at Gaites Studio in Macomb Illinois. If any would be helpful, I'd be most honor'd sharing and sending a reply to all inquires made, which recently have returned to family members. I also have my family tree Gedcom listed with Kindred Konnections.
Thank you for your cooperation with me and look forward to your reply. Happy Hunting!
