seems fairly simple if he was born 1834 in Venango Co., PA 1834 then he'd be with his parents age about 16y in that same county. He married in 1854 so was still single 1850. Did you look for him in 1880 census? That census would tell you where his parents were born. Did you get his death record as that should list his parents names.
