well I do genealogy now for a living now that I'm retired. I also teach genealogy 101 classes. The # 1 thing to do is strt with wha you know or can get easy from around your house or your parents. Since I did find them on the 1930 census in TX, Dallas and have their ages, Wiley Worden being born ~1878 he should be found in the 1920, 1910, 1900 & 1880 census. As you go back in 10 yr increments you should pick up his parents names. Also you would pick up where he & his parents were born plus siblings.
