In desperate need of help. I have had absolutly no luck in finding my Wooten line.
My mothers name is Jamie Ruth Coats or Coots, but this is the tricky part. it is said that her father could be a George Keith not James Coots.
Her mother Annie C. or L. Wooten Coots or Coats, told her that James was not her father. (James died before Jamie was born in Oct. 1932.) Annie not sure of her b. She had a son Riley Ivan b.1930 in Al. and my mother Jamie Ruth b. Feb. 18th. 1933. in Etowah, Al. On my mothers birth certificate it states that she was born 2nd. She was told she had a twin sister but I can not find proof of her any where. My mother said that she thought she heard her name to be Rosetta or Rose? Riley and my mother Jamie Ruth lived with an Andrew Gillihan and Annie K. Keith when their mother Annie Wooten was put in jail. Annie K. Keith is George Keiths sister. This is how she met my father Ernest Willis Gillihan. He is the nephew of Andrew Gillihan.
I heard that Annie Wooten married 4 or 5 times so this has made things even more difficult.
