Hey, not stupid!I have heard that story too, but didn't know about the name Woostern.I have also heard about Flemish miners (?!) settling in mid and south Wales in the 1500s.(Most likely they were Germans from a more mountainous region, but the idea is still there)Our group maintains a connection to Wolstenholme, but family tradition says that the name Woosnam was originally from the Flemish, Woolman.Personally I am surprised that more of us haven't changed to Woosman because that's the name on most of our junk mail!Hey, what's the story of your branch?...Just curious!
