I'm new to this line and I'm also working it for a 3rd cousin and to date I have very little information and was hoping I might get a little further data to help me fill in the missing links.
I'm looking for a Charles or George Woolverton born in PA. born bet: 1851-56. he married a Susan Ann Amanda Harrison and I suspect in Bowie Co. TX. Charles died abt 1890 in Texas.
The family info came from two different Woolverton cousins and a copy of Phillips obit. I did locate a George Woolverton (PA) living in Bowie Co. on the 1880 census with a wife of Susan A (TX) and one daughter named Ella G., I suspect this might be the same person but I'm only guessing on this.
My cousin Mary Ann b: 1920 said that she thought her grandfathers name was Charles, but she knew her grandmothers full name and they joked about her having so many names. She knew nothing about Charles other than her father Phillip say he was only 6 when his father died.
And of course the family was very tight lipped and so many of them were.
Susan Ann Amanda Harrison Woolverton was driven to Western OK in 1930 by Phillip to live with her daughter Georgia Malone, she died there shortly after the move to Rainey and is buried in a unmarked grave at Lake Valley Cem. in what was a twp called Gotebo south of Cordell.
to this union they had 5 children
1. Josie E. b: May 1880 she married Thomas Jefferson Davis in Fannin Co. Texas, they lived and I suspect died in Fannin Co. TX.
2. Georgia b: abt 1881 she M: James J. Malone, they lived most of their lives in Western OK. Cleveland, Pontotoc,and Washita Co. OK. they were suppose to have died in Rainey twp.
3. Phillip J. b: 15 Nov 1884 in Texas, he M: Ira Coffee in Garvin Co. OK, they lived in Pittsburg Co. most of their lives in Crowder twp.
4. Frank C. b: Mar 1887 in New Boston Bowie Co. TX. married a Susie in Pottawatomie Co. OK. and died in Cleveland Co. OK
5. Charles abt 1890 Texas, no further info known on him.
