Ezra B. Woolson was born in 1815 in Littleton, Grafton Co., New Hampshire. He was the son of Elijah Knight Woolson and his 2nd wife Nancy Little(I descend from Elijah Knight Woolson and his 1st wife Rebecca Batchellor).
I found on line during a Google search that the Jan 1st 1880 edition of the Sacramento Daily Record-Union stated that "Ezra Woolson, Ex Co. treasurer, died on 23 Dec 1879".
He married Elizabeth Knight on 21st Oct 1849 in Hogansburg, New York. He and his wife lived in New York state for a few years, and in 1867 he suddenly appears in Mormom Island, Sacramento, California and is the Sacramento County Treasure. I am trying to piece together the 17 year gap from New York to California. He was a master tailor most of his life, at one time employing four or five men and twenty-five women as tailors and seamtresses.
