Great to hear from you again, Mark! You're email came at the right time. Tuesday my wife Karen and I are heading up north to the Sugar Hill/Franconia area of New Hampshire for a few days, and and the next towns over are Lisbon and Lyman, WOOLSON territory. She's going up for the scenery and I'm going up for the genealogy.
I don't think the oldest daguerrotype you have would be of Elijah and his 1st wife Rebecca. He died in 1836, just a couple of years shy of the introduction to daguerrotype photography, and she died in 1814. Any idea as to who the photographer might be? It could very well be an early photo of one of his sons and wife.
