My Woolsey Family came from New York to Minnesota to Oregon. My great great-grandfather was Elija Woolsey born in 1808 in NY. His son Winfield Scott Woolsey (my great-grandfather)was born in 1852 in NY. My grandfather Harrison Scott Woolsey was born in Minnesota in 1879. We probably are researching the same family.
As for Henry Woolsey's wife Abigail, there seems to be two options on her surname. Many researchers agree she was Abigail Lyons, while others believe Henry married his cousin, Abigail Wright Woolsey. Most do agree that she died in Willoughby Lake, Ohio in 1830. I've yet to find definitive proof either way.
