Hello!
I am trying to find information on a Jane Woolsey/Wolsey. The only "concrete" information I have found is a marriage record in Greene County, Missouri, dated 24 Jan 1845 to William F. McCarty. I have seen Jane McCarty with B.F. McCarty (Bill - derivative of William, of course!) in Cass, Greene County, Missouri in 1850, but have yet to find the family in the 1860 census records. I have seen elsewhere that she died sometime around 1870, and she is definitely not listed in the 1870 census with the family. In the 1850 census, she is listed as having been born in Arkansas, and was listed as 25 years old, putting her birth year around 1825.
If anyone can help me find more information on Jane Woolsey/Wolsey, I would be grateful. Her death record has the spelling "Wolsey" on it, but here on ancestry, the record has "Woolsey."
