Charles Woolsey b abt 1817 MO? in NM by 1837

Seeking anyone who can tell me more about Charles Woolsey born about 1810-1817, probably in Missouri. Charles had gone on the Santa Fe Trail with a group of traders and was in New Mexico by 1837. Does anyone know what happened to him after that? He might have known a man in Missouri named Charles Ames.
