Thomas,

Thank you very much for taking the time to give me all of the hints and places to start!
How long have you been doing family research? How long has it taken you to find out all of this information? It really is quite incredible.

I'm so early in the search that I'm unsure where the name is from. Unfortunately, everyone on my father's side have passed so I can't get any information from them. I have birth and death dates going back to my great grandparents, but very unsure of anything before that. I remember asking my Dad when I was younger about our heritage and he told me we were "Heinz 57" meaning he didn't know.
My Grandma lived in Chicago at some point, but as far as I know, my family has always lived in Michigan.

It is great to "meet" another Woolner as we are a rare breed! Do you have a full fledged family tree put together and know your lineage dating back to 1775?

It would be great to hear back from you. Thanks again for you help.

Take care,
Cindy Woolner
