So you want busy?Have I got a deal for you.I can't seem to prove it, but I looked at all your messages and I'll bet you are my cousin in there somewhere. My mom loved talking about surnames of which we were related.I never took the time to have her give details and she mentioned so many, I thought back then she was making it up as we went through life.OPPS!!I have connected to some and see others mentioned and looking for a way to connect. They are all out there and you have plenty of them.
My mom was a Woolley/Wooley from Shafer/Shaefer/Schaefer/Shaffer/Shaw/Sheffer/Shiffer/Shavers, etc. and a Woolley/Wooley.Her grandparents names were Neal, Robinson, Dent, Sherman, Shaffer on back.I saw you had Shaw, well that is a soundex for Shaffer or any of the other spellings.
Here are a FEW of the other surnames she mentioned: Ingram, Fuller, Kennedy, Clark, Webb, White, Wilson, King, Ball, Kelly, Bowen, Moore, Truman, Foster, Campbell, Anderson, Blankenship,Ferguson, Cunningham, Fitzpatrick, Caruthers, Brown, Hoyt, Humphries, Caruthers, K or Cramer, Avery, Stewart or Stuart, Wood or Woods(I found that), Dodson, Hall, Adams, Kirkpatrick, Duncan, Carlson, Dotson, Ford, Reed or Reid, Newman, Miller, Davenport, Spenser, Kilgore, Barnes, Rowe, Mitchell, Preston, Simmons, Sprague, Beemer, Chambers, Sawmiller, Stauffer, Getzinger, Fobar, Spiteri, Meckler, Knowles, Patterson, Peterson, Paulson, Bartec, Self, Ireland, Osborne, Pascal, Bollinger, Batchelor, Adams, Potter, Calvert, Chambers, Nye, Doty, Rickles, Hays, Heath Hirst, Wagner, Weaver, Willy, Landon, Nichols, Stephenson, Richardson, Bourdo, Ferrell, Maddon, Shrivers,Howard, Hayes, Odum,Cunningham, Ewing (from Wm Tecumpshe Sherman), Lippincott, Fogel, Mchaffee, McGee,,Hall, Hines, Wolf,Wright, and many more, I don't have hold of my list. You decide if these are yours or if you are happy with what you have.I know why Mom called us all American Heinz 57 and mutts.
If I can be of any help, let me know, I figure it will take all my life to figure this out and I should have started many years ago, but luckily my daughter will work on it when I'm gone.Sure is fun though.
Betty
