George and Hannah (Lofthouse) WOOLLEY were married in 1846 and lived in Ashton-Under- Lyne, Lancashire, England. Their oldest son, John, married Isabella FISH, daughter of Martha (Bradbury) and Michael FISH. John was from a family of textile workers. He and Isabella were my immigrant gr-grandparents, who came to the U.S. with their eight children circa 1892. They first lived in Biddeford, Maine, but settled in New Bedford, MA, a leading textile city. More information available.
