W.R.,
Perhaps I can be of more help to you.Unless there is more than one Townsend between Canada and Chicago, I can tell you the founder of the town was a Jedidiah Woolley back in early 1800's.I am trying to learn if he may be any connection to my 8 Woolley/Wooley lines, only one is direct.
Some of your surnames are familiar, but that would only tell me at this point one of my lines is connected and I don't think it is the one I had hoped.I have close Woolley family in MI now and last generation.Don't know about before 1900.
A couple of years ago, I was contacted the the Library of Townsend, they were about to celebrate 150 years of their founding father.I was asked to find more about his decscendants.I can sure tell you about his father and himself if you have interest.I couldn't resist the research in hopes of finding my direct line too.
Let me know and thanks. My Grandfather's name was Daniel L Woolley b, 1879 (I don't know where, but think Ohio.)
