Phil,
I am beginning to see we both have one thing in common.Mix up on where our Woolley's were born.Someone must have the 2 families confused and therefore confusing us.
I think I found your line, but now for mine.
I believe I found a Thomas Woolley in your line, but his middle initial was R, not the one for whom I search.Sure had me fooled for awhile.
I kept finding records stating my g-grandfather was born in NJ.Well, I found my gg-grandfather married in OH in 1844 and wondered what took him to NJ.Now, I don't know about that either.
A George Woolley is said to have gone to live with the Coonrod/Conrad/Conroy family in 1861.Wondered why when I checked back at another site, the rest of the family had been deleted.Perhaps she finally figured out it wasn't the right one. However, the dates for my g-grandfather and his spouse are still listed, so I am not sure if Karen Rowe's site in NE is correct.I believe the George in your line was the one that was born in NJ.Mine was born in Ohio.I can see this has to be where the confusion starts.
I'm not saying any site is incorrect, but it doesn't seem to be my g-grandfather listed.
I have a source who has information done by a much older generation, the old way before computers. We disagreed on some information, but was finally able to determine it was the same family that had been moved from where they were first buried.I also have learned why they were moved and I am now satisfied the information she has is correct.
I can't put my fingers on the information I had for the line that wasn't mine, but they were from the Athens, Cleveland, Ohio area.I believe it was Jacob Woolley.Such similar names were used in both families, it was difficult to determine.
Just FYI, trying to help.
