Lois,
I am looking for my gg-grandfather, Thomas C Woolley b about 1813 in Castine??, ?, England.Supposedly somewhere near Baltimore?I know nothing but he came to America.I have him married to my grandmother in 1844 in the State of OHIO.Don't know, he may have been married previously.
I know Thomas had many children and my grandfather is George Herbert Woolley b 1854 supposedly in NJ.I think someone confused the records as a George Henry Woolley was b in New Jersey in 1861, son of Montillion Woolley, a screen actor over here and good too.George Henry Woolley married a Sherman.Mine didn't.Maybe they were cousins or something.
My George is listed in my partial family Bible and he married Elizabeth Rebecca Neal "Lizzie".
The Thomas that I located over there in England was the son of Abraham Woolley and he married a ? Job.That sounds about right to me as my g-grandfather's twin brother first name was Job.
Some in the family are Catholic, others Methodist.I think the Methodist came from the other side of my mother's family as that is what she was.Of course, all my aunts and uncles are of many religions.
I have a picture of one of my Woolley's and he is dressed like a Mormon, Quaker, Mennonite, or Friend. So who knows.
Can you help me PLEASE?
