Adam Woolidge
Adam Woolidge age 33, a farmer, his wife age 31, a laundress, sailed upon the ship St James from London to New Orleans with several children arriving in 1839. At least 2 of these children are believed to have moved to MO. Adam is buried in Greenwood Cemetary at the foot of Canal St in New Orleans. I'm not sure when the spelling of the name was changed to Woolledge. Until I discovered the ship's record we really thought his name had been misspelled on the grave marker. My mother is a Woolledge.
