Dr. James Woolfolk was the family doctor for my family ancestors from the years of 1860-67 when they lived in Jackson County, Texas. He also went to war with the 2nd Texas Infantry which included my two great-great uncles. He is mentioned in the book The Second Texas Infantry by Prof. Joseph Chance, on pages 12 and 38, having been commended for saving lives in the battle of Shiloh. I have in my family papers the original itemized handwritten bill from him for services rendered during their years in Texas. This is about all I know about him.
