Hello Roger --
I am a "recent" WOOLERY researcher. I have been compiling all the census information for the Canada WOOLERY's and came across your post.
I am a descendant of Sarah WOOLERY (born Feb 1840 in Ontario, Canada; died 22 Dec 1910 in San Jose, California; married Alexander ANDERSON 24 Sep 1862 in (prob.) Ontario, Canada. Her father was Michael WOOLERY (born 1803 Canada, died 1883 Faribault County, Minnesota; married Lydia THOMPSON)
I feel there is a strong probability that your Henry WOOLERY (Sr.) and Michael were brothers. This is based on, a) migration patterns
b) names of children
c) birth place of parents via children on later census records
I am about 2/3 of the way through recording/documenting census records for Canada WOOLERY's and their descendants.
Your Henry Jr married a Margaret unknown c. 1866 and had the following children:
Josephine (born c. 1867 in Iowa)
Walter (born c. 1869 in Iowa)
Henry (born c. 1871 in California)
Rosa (born c. 1877 in California)
Nettie (born Aug 1879 in California)
Henry died 7 Sep 1915 in Marion County and wife Margaret died 17 June 1912 in Marion County, Oregon. I found them listed in the Oregon Death index at:

Two interesting census item's for this family are:
Henry (b. 1827 - d. 1915) on the 1910 Census states his birthplace as Canada, language Ger., father’s birthplace Germany, mothers Maine.
Henry (b. 1871) on the 1920 census gives his birthplace as California; father was born in Quebec, Canada and spoke Dutch, mother born in Illinois.
