Family members determined from an indenture of 06 Nov 1802 in Fairfax Co. Va. Book of Deeds, Drawer X wherein his heirs sell 400 acres of land in Brooke Co. to Phillip Doddridge of Brooke Co. for 100.00 in settlement of his estate. The instrument was witnessed by John Walker, George Sanders and Edward Sanders.

He and his wife witnessed an instrument dated 20 Feby 1792 wherein Lewis Saunders deeds in trust his estate to his sons John and Simon whom he deems to be incapable of looking after their own interests with Barnaby Woolbright as trustee. 0n 02 Jan 1792 he purchased from Lewis Saunders, Barnaby and Elizabeth Woolbright a parcel of land in Truro Parish. The deed was proved before the Fairfax Co. Court on 17 Sept of the same year by the witnesses to the signing, following the death of Lewis Saunders the previous month.
