Good to hear from you, Vickie. First, here's what I have on Talitha: daughter of Jesse Coyne and Jane Powell. Married first: Hawkins McQueen (1832-?) on 10 March 1856 in Estill Co. Then married: John William Chandler (1841-?) on 3 September 1864 in Pendleton County, KY; their daughter Martha was adopted by her third husband, Lewis Maurice Woodyard. Although there are probably no records, the marriage is said to have taken place in Clark County, IN in 1868 when she was pregnant with Minnie.

Talitha and Lewis Woodyard had the following: Minerva Florence "Minnie," Melvina, John (died in infancy), Lina, Katherine Eleanor "Nellie" and B.M. Lacy (never have found out what happened to her.)

I concur with Talitha's dying in 1897 in Madison County, KY.

Lewis Maurice Woodyard was born 1828 in Pendleton County, KY and died in Estill County, KY in 1888. He had 12 children by three wives; 10 girls and two boys. He was the son of Lewis Woodyard Jr. (1773 Fauquier County, VA-1834 Pendleton County, KY) and Mary "Polly" Ford (1788 Fauquier County, VA-1865 Clark County, IN). He was the grandson of Lewis and Agnes "Nessy" (Mitchell) Woodyard and of George and Charity (Covert) Ford. He had two older sisters, Catherine "Cagey" Woodyard who married a distant cousin, Walter Perry Woodyard, in Kansas (was just on facebook with two of their descendants who live in Oklahoma) and Mary Ann Woodyard who married Matthew Mullins and died after the birth of their daughter in 1854 in Pendleton County, KY.

Hope that helps for the time-being. Let me know what else you might need --

Best, Ed
