My grandfather was Clark A. Woodyard b. 11-17-1881. My g-grandfather was John Marion Woodyard b. 7-20-1839. John was a Corp. Co. H, in the 12th West Virginia Infantry (1862-1864). Then, according to what I have, his father is Jesse Covert. John died in southern Iowa and is buried in Bedford, Iowa. Clark had two daughters(my mom being one) with his first marriage and then had 7 children with his second. I think, mid 70's, there were still "Woodyards" in Bedford. My mom never talked about her real father and I didn't know she had had contact with her step-siblings untill after she passed away in 98 and I was going thru her papers. I have poked around a little bit, looked in the phone books for that area, but not seen the Woodyard name listed. Is this branch in the book? My email address is jmutch@gcmuni.net Thank you, Eileen
