Both Kindness and Alisha say they were married to Tarlton Woody, the 1812 war casualty from North Carolina. The army only lists one Tarlton Woody as a soldier in the regular Army in the War of 1812 even though their record seems confused. The parents of the 1812 War casualty are Tarlton and his wife Elizabeth from North Carolina and as the other sons are listed there is little doubt of who they are. Kindness was the first wife of Tarlton and Alisha was the second. Kindness and Tarlton were married in 1809 and had children in 1809 and 1811 according to the information supplied by Kindness. Alisha married in 1812 with the children born in 1814 and 1816.according to marriage records and information from Alisha.
