Hello Joann, You've come to the correct place. Nellie Mae is one of "the Koeppe Girls". Their mother, Fanny Mellissa Woodworth is the sister of my grandmother, Cora Amanda Woodworth. Fanny M. died shortly after giving birth to a daughter in Feb 1916. That daughter was named Fannie Fern. Because "Uncle Will" Koeppe was not able to take care of the farm, the growing family, and a newborn, he turned the care of the newborn over to his sister-in-law, Cora. Therefore, my Aunt Fannie Fern Hazlett Weishoff b. 1916, was the biological sister of Nellie Mae. Fannie Fern just died in the past few years. I was a pawl bearer at her funeral. I just had a family reunion with 2 of her 3 surviving sons last weekend. Fannie said that she had stayed in touch with "the Koeppe Girls". Last I heard, there was one still living in Oklahoma (or there abouts). One of the nieces of the Koeppe girls lives in the Chicago area. We have stayed in loose touch through the years. I have a family picture of Will, Fanny M, and "the Koeppe girls" if you have an email to send it to. Jim Notify Administrator about this message?
