Hello all my Woodward Cousins,

I am searching for proof of which Mary Brittain married Nathaniel Woodward in Smithfield, RI. Does anyone out there have proof posative as to which one is correct?

Mary Brittain #1: born 22 Sept 1743 in Raynham, Massachusetts the daughter of Abiel and Mary Brittain. It is said that Abiel was found in Smithfield, RI records around the time of Nathaniel Woodwards marriage.

Mary Brittain #2: born 15 July 1744 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island the daughter of Owen and Martha (Corey) Brittain. I do not know if they were in Smithfield or not. Nor do I know how far Portsmouth, RI is from Smithfield.

Nathaniel Woodward and Mary Brittani were married 7 Feb 1759 in Smithfield, Rhode Island by Justice Daniel Mowry, Jr.

If anyone has proof as to the correct Mary Brittain, please contact me as any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully Yours,
Angie
