I found a James W. Woodard b. abt 1860 with a wife of Sarah E., living in Lebanon,Indiana in the 1920 census records.Both born Indiana, James' parents born Indiana. Sarah's father born Indiana,mother born N. Carolina.
Living with them is a granddaughter, Mildred J.,b. abt 1915
Indiana.
Also another Woodard family/ same census year,Homer Woodard,27, with wife Helen Woodard ,19 , and
daughter, Margarita Woodard 1 11/12 (b. abt 1918).
Notice the spelling of the last name, Ancestry has WOODWARD, but the original has WOODARD.
Census taker spelling error??
Do you know Albert's middle name? It would possibly isolate
the Albert's that are out there in the census'.
Another note that I have found, is that a lot of people
during that time frame were using their middle name. It's
a nightmare for genealogists using the census' to track
people down.
