stephanie,i have been looking for the connection between William Downes of Halifax Co. N.C.(1776) and the Wood Family-there are Woods in every co. where his family lived,N.C.,Ga. and Tx. His grandaughter Sarsh Downs named her Second child William Woods Downs -I suspect that maybe her mother or her grandmother was a "Woods" since I have no accessto woods Files would you see if that connection seems logical?i have reasearched this line for 15 yrs. and Sarah remains a mystery!-L.D.
