The 1880 census for Baxter Springs, Ks. p. 420a shows a William Woodrum age 30 b. in Tn and he was a butcher. Wife Margaret Dau. Lurella and son Thomas. I am guessing that this William COULD be the son of Benjamin Franklin Woodrum and Mary Rice. They had a son named William b. 1850. Hope this helps. I am in Tx. also.
