From Susan Woodruff Abbott's "Woodruff Genealogy", the line of Mathew of Farmington, CT, I find a couple of other Woodruff/Burton connections.
One is MARGARET LILLIAN WOODRUFF, dau. of Herbert Arden Bertrand and Margaret Elizabeth (Mackie) Woodruff,. Margaret b. 8 March 1901, m. Col. Joseph Chandler Burton, resided in Alexandria, VA in 1948, and they had 2 children: Jospeh Chandler Burton and Jean Woodruff Burton.
The other is MERLE GLEE WOODRUFF, dau. of Carlton Eugene and Shirley Ann (Fortunato) Woodruff. Merle b. 30 Nov. 1939, m. 26 Aug. 1961 William Burton who b. 3 Dec 1938. (Carlton is son of Willey Washington Woodruff). This one is not printed in the book, but in a note Mrs. Abbott received from a Idabyrl Kananen of jefferson, OH in 1964.
