Joel WOODROME to Robt. HUGHES - 10 acres
       This Indenture made this 30th day of August 1815 between Joel WOODROME of the County of Bedford and State of Tennessee of the one and Robert HUGHES of the County and State afforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that for and inconsideration of the sum of $50 to me in hand paid the receipt whereof. I, the said Joel WOODROME do hereby acknowledge hath ganted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell alien convey and confirm unto the said Robert HUGHES his heir and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate in Bedford Co. on Noah's fork of Dusk River beginning at a bush Robert HUGHES SW corner thence west 10 poles to a bush and black ash thence south 40 poles to a birch mulberry and hornbeam thence east 40 poles to a bush in Robert HUGHES line thence with said line 30 poles to the beginning - containing 10 acres granted to Joel WOODROME on the 17th day of Mar 1814 Grant no. 6486 including where Walker or Walter BAKER now lives to have and to have hold the aforesaid tract of land with all and singular the rights enclaimant hired claimant and appurtances of in and to the same belonging on in anywhere appurtences to the only proper use and behalf of him the said Robert HUGHES his heirs and assignes forever and I, the said Joel WOODROME for myself my heirs and assignes do convenants and agree to and with the said Robert HUGHES his heirs and assignes that he before erected land and bargained premises. I will warrant and forever defend against the lawful claim of all and every person or manner of persons whatever. In witnesseth whereof, I the said Joel WOODROME have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written signed sealed and delivered in presents of us:

I, Thomas MOORE, Clerk of Bedford Co. Court of do hereby certify that the Executors of the within deed from Joel WOODROME to Robert HUGHES was proven in open court by the oaths of Jonathan WEBSTER and Rice HUGHES two of the subsequently witnesses thereto and ordaine to be certified for registeration given under my hand at affixed this 27th day of ________ 1816.
