Cemetery & Death Record - Woodmansee B T

My son, age 8, and I just returned from a 3-week trip across the USA, where along the way we met a descendent of this Woodmansee line, and confirmed our connection with their Woodmansee family Bible. What a wonderful experience.

Several days later, I found myself in North Star Cemetery in Gratiot County, Michigan, where my son and I confirmed my hunch by finding Benjamin T. Woodmansee's headstone.

Afterward, we drove to Ithica (county seat) where we visited the court house. The clerk of the court found the original book of handwritten death records that confirmed Benjamin's parents' names, and also detailed the place of death as "Washington" (township) and the cause of death being "consumption."

Photographs were taken of everything with a pro-digital camera and will be posted soon. This will be available at:

I'll post a message when the images have been cropped and uploaded.
