I am seeking the parents of my great-grandfather, John M. Arnold.
He was with his mother, Nancy Arnold in the 1850 census in Tallapoosa Co. AL. With them were two other sons of Nancy Arnold, Henry and Andrew J. Arnold and a 9 yr. old girl, Nancy Bartley. All of the Arnold family shown in this census were born in GA. The child was b. in AL.
I have found a marriage of a Nancy Woodly/Woodley to William Arnold in Elbert County, GA on 3rd Sept. 1826.
I am wondering if this could be the father and mother of my John M. Arnold.
