I am not related although I live only a few miles from the Peter Woodin of Halfmoon, Saratoga County. His farm is now a housing development called Woodin Oaks, just off Woodin Road in Halfmoon.

I collected a lot of info about this branch as I had incorrectly assumed that I might be derived from it. Actually, I am descended from Peter Woodin of Connecticut and Mt. Washington, MA. My branch eventually settled in Columbia County.

Timothy Woodin is related to your Peter Woodin. There is a connection as members of each Woodin clan served together in the same unit during the Revolutionary War.

Contact me at DWOODIN@nycapp.rr.com and I can provide you with more info, including some limited info re: VanSantvoord. I believe they are buried in Union Cemetery next to St. Mary's Church in Crescent.
