I too have been looking at the Woodhull genealogy. My Grandmother was a Woodull descended from Josiah, Richard etc.
I too see Catharine Parr as a cousin, but her
Grandfather and our ancestor would have been
the same. The father of Elizabeth Parr, the cousin we seem to be descended from, was chamberlain to Catherine Parr, which I think is an advisor/guardian in royal circles. If you want to really go wild with this side of the ancestory trace back from Elizabeth or her father and you find some fascinating people of significance in the history of England and Wales.Because marriages were a
strengthening of power many of our ancestors
seemed to have been married to some very interesting families ie. Mortimer, and some of
the very early Kings of Wales, we're talking
the 800's and earlier.
On the Woodhull side there seems to be evidence that they were Norman Conquerers.
I found an interesting site on Odell in England which has the family name going from
Wahull to Wodhul to Odell to Woodhull.
Good luck with your research.
Marnie
