Lancashire Woodheads

Hello there,

I have found lots of info online about Woodheads from Yorks, Derbys etc but next to nothing on Woodheads from Lancs. I come from what was a Woodhead 'hotspot' in Oswaldtwistle and Church, Lancashire. I have been doing research into these Woodheads and have come across several brick walls along the way. However,I have managed to trace my family back to Thomas Woodhead who married Ellen (Nellie) Whalley at St James Church, Church Kirk, Church, Lancashire on 12 March 1811 (online Lancashire Parish Clerks). However I don't know where they were born, and can't get further back than that.

I would be more than happy to share information with anyone on the Woodheads. Any takers please? Thanks in anticipation.
